One of the reasons I've loved visiting, but not living in, big cities is because of the whole transportation issue. Public transportation can be pretty hit or miss depending on where you are.
London, however, has a great system, which allows you to appreciate the journey just as much as the destination. Check out the video my group made describing how got around.
